Participants are encouraged to consult an appropriate licensed healthcare professional when determining whether participation is suitable for their individual circumstances.
3. Voluntary Participation & Personal Responsibility
Participation in all offerings is voluntary.
By participating, you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for communicating your needs, limitations, and relevant health considerations.
You may modify, pause, decline, or stop any practice at any time.
You will participate at a pace that feels appropriate for your body and circumstances.
You understand that physical sensations, emotions, or unexpected responses may arise.
You remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical or mental health support when needed.
You are never required to disclose personal experiences, participate in group sharing, or engage in a practice that you do not wish to complete.
Our intention is to offer a respectful, supportive, and choice-centered environment. However, no particular experience or outcome can be guaranteed.
4. Assumption of Risk & Informed Consent
Wellness activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical discomfort, dizziness, changes in breathing, emotional distress, fatigue, muscle soreness, or unexpected psychological and physiological responses.
Certain practices, particularly conscious connected breathwork, may create more intense physical or emotional effects than restorative breathing, meditation, or sound healing.
By participating, you acknowledge that you understand these potential risks and voluntarily choose to participate.
You agree to communicate any relevant concerns before your session and to notify the facilitator if you experience discomfort.
Participation does not eliminate all risks, even when reasonable precautions are taken.
Additional informed-consent forms, intake questionnaires, and liability waivers may be required before participation in specific offerings.
5. Breathwork Contraindications & Health Screening
Certain breathwork techniques, including conscious connected breathwork, may not be appropriate for everyone.
Conditions requiring medical consultation, additional screening, modification, or avoidance of particular techniques may include:
Cardiovascular disease or significant heart conditions
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
Epilepsy or a history of seizures
Pregnancy
Serious respiratory conditions
Recent surgery or significant physical injury
A history of psychosis, bipolar disorder, or other psychiatric conditions that may be destabilized by intensive practices
Severe trauma-related symptoms, including dissociation
Other medical or psychological conditions that may affect safe participation
This list is not exhaustive.
Participants agree to disclose relevant health information through the designated intake or screening process and to obtain professional medical guidance when appropriate.
Completion of a booking does not guarantee eligibility for every breathwork technique.
Karla Michelle LLC reserves the right to recommend modified practices, request medical clearance, or decline participation in a particular technique when there is a reasonable safety concern.
If a participant is unable to proceed because of a contraindication identified before the service begins, applicable refund or rescheduling arrangements will be communicated and handled consistently with applicable law and the circumstances of the booking.
6. Community Agreements & Confidentiality
We believe in cultivating spaces rooted in respect, compassion, personal autonomy, and shared humanity.
By participating in group experiences, you agree to:
Respect the personal boundaries and experiences of others.
Honor the privacy of information shared within the group.
Refrain from recording or publicly sharing another participant's personal experience without their permission.
Avoid disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, or harmful behavior.
Participate without pressuring others to share, speak, or engage.
Respect the facilitator's safety guidelines and the shared environment.
Understand that everyone's experience may be different.
Group sharing is always invitational and never required.
While all participants are asked to respect confidentiality, Karla Michelle LLC cannot guarantee that other group members will maintain confidentiality.
Personal information collected by the Company will be handled according to its Privacy Policy and applicable law. Information may be disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to respond to a serious safety concern.
7. Booking, Payment & Purchase Agreement
All sessions, events, programs, and experiences must be booked and paid for according to the payment terms stated at checkout.
By completing a purchase, you agree to:
Provide accurate booking and contact information.
Pay the amount displayed at checkout.
Review all event or program details before purchasing.
Comply with the applicable cancellation and rescheduling policies.
Complete any required participation forms before attending.
Payments may be processed through third-party providers, including Stripe, Flodesk, Squarespace, or Acuity.
Karla Michelle LLC does not intentionally store full payment card details on its own systems. Payment information is processed and managed by the applicable payment provider according to its policies.
Prices may be adjusted for future purchases without affecting previously confirmed purchases, except where otherwise agreed or required by law.
8. General Refund & Cancellation Policy
All purchases are considered final unless an offering-specific refund policy, these Terms, or applicable law provides otherwise.
Because offerings may involve reserved spaces, preparation, materials, venue expenses, and limited availability, different cancellation policies apply depending on the type of service purchased.
Participants are responsible for reviewing the cancellation terms associated with their particular booking.
All requests for cancellations, transfers, or rescheduling must be submitted by email to:
A request is considered received when it arrives in the Company's email inbox.
9. Community Events, Workshops & Group Classes
This policy applies to individual tickets for sound baths, women's circles, group breathwork experiences, workshops, and similar community events, unless different terms are expressly stated during booking.
Participant cancellations:
Event tickets are non-refundable.
A ticket may be transferred to another person with at least 24 hours' advance notice, subject to eligibility, availability, and any required participation forms.
Transfers to a different event date are not guaranteed and require written approval.
Late cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for refunds or automatic credits.
Tickets may not be resold above their original purchase price.
Events canceled or rescheduled by Karla Michelle LLC:
If we must cancel an event before it begins, participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
Where appropriate, participants may be offered a transfer to another event or an event credit.
For Company-canceled indoor events, workshops, or classes where a comparable replacement cannot be provided, participants may request a refund of the amount paid for the canceled service.
Additional policies may apply to retreats, outdoor events, or co-hosted experiences.
10. Outdoor Events & Sound Waves Weather Policy
Certain experiences, including the Sound Waves Beach Sunset Sound Bath Series, take place outdoors and are subject to weather, environmental conditions, park accessibility, and public safety considerations.
Events may be postponed or canceled because of:
Thunderstorms or lightning
High winds or unsafe weather conditions
Extreme temperatures
Unsafe beach, trail, or environmental conditions
Park closures or other circumstances outside our control
If an outdoor event is canceled due to unsafe weather or environmental conditions, your ticket will be transferred to another available event date or issued as an event credit. Refunds are not ordinarily provided for weather-related cancellations, except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout.
Event credits will remain valid through the expiration date communicated with the credit, with a reasonable opportunity to redeem them.
Unused tickets from a previous Sound Waves season may be honored in the current season when expressly approved by Karla Michelle LLC. This does not establish an automatic right to carry unused tickets into future seasons.
Participants are responsible for preparing appropriately for outdoor conditions, including clothing, footwear, hydration, and personal comfort items.
11. Private Sessions & Individual Appointments
This policy applies to individual private bookings, including somatic breathwork, sound healing, Reiki, and other one-on-one services, unless a separate client agreement states otherwise.
Cancellations and rescheduling:
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private session.
With at least 24 hours' notice, participants may reschedule their appointment one time without an additional rescheduling fee, subject to availability.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the appointment may result in forfeiture of the session payment.
Missed appointments and no-shows are non-refundable.
Arriving late does not guarantee an extension of the scheduled session.
Private sessions are generally non-refundable once the cancellation window has passed or the service has begun.
If Karla Michelle LLC must cancel a private appointment, the participant will be offered a rescheduled appointment or a refund for the canceled service.
Exceptions may be considered for emergencies at the Company's discretion, consistent with applicable law.
12. Multi-Session Programs, Packages & Private Containers
This policy applies to multi-session experiences, including HELD, private mentorship containers, bundled sessions, and other structured programs.
Program prices, session quantities, duration, and expiration dates will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated in a separate signed agreement:
Payment secures a place in the program or package.
Participants are responsible for scheduling and attending their sessions within the designated program period.
At least 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule an individual appointment.
Late cancellations and missed sessions may count as completed sessions.
Unused sessions expire at the end of the specified package validity period, subject to applicable law.
Packages are not transferable to another person without written approval.
Participants are responsible for communicating scheduling challenges before the program's expiration.
For structured programs that reserve ongoing facilitator availability, cancellations or early termination after the program begins do not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.
Any separate program agreement will specify applicable refund terms, payment obligations, program extensions, and termination rights.
13. Retreats & Immersive Experiences
Because retreats and immersive experiences often involve limited capacity, venue reservations, third-party commitments, materials, and advance preparation, they may have stricter cancellation policies.
Each retreat's sales page or checkout will specify its applicable:
Deposit and payment requirements
Refund eligibility and cancellation deadlines
Participant transfer rules
Payment-plan requirements
Organizer-cancellation provisions
The specific terms disclosed at checkout govern that retreat.
For the November 21, 2026 retreat, the following terms apply:
Cancellations received on or before November 7, 2026, are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations received after November 7, 2026, are non-refundable.
Tickets may be transferred to another eligible participant with at least 48 hours' notice.
No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits.
If the retreat is canceled by the organizers, participants will receive a full refund of their retreat payment.
Any future retreat-specific policies will be disclosed before purchase.
14. Payment Plans & Outstanding Balances
Certain programs or experiences may offer installment payment plans.
By selecting a payment plan, you agree to the full purchase price and the payment schedule disclosed at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated, a payment plan is an installment arrangement for a purchased service or program, not a cancel-anytime subscription.
You acknowledge that:
All agreed installments remain payable according to the applicable agreement.
Failure to attend or complete a program does not automatically cancel remaining payments.
Missed or declined payments may result in temporary suspension of services until the account is brought current.
Any changes to payment arrangements must be approved in writing.
Early termination and refund eligibility are governed by the applicable program agreement and law.
For automatically renewing memberships or subscriptions, renewal terms, pricing, billing frequency, and cancellation procedures will be disclosed separately before enrollment.
15. Arrival, Attendance & Late Policy
Participants are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes before in-person events unless otherwise instructed.
For virtual experiences, please join early enough to settle into your space and address any technical concerns.
Late arrivals may not be admitted once a group breathwork session, meditation, or other immersive practice has begun.
This is intended to minimize disruptions and maintain the structure and safety of the experience.
Missed portions of an event or session due to late arrival are not refundable.
16. National Park Requirements & Outdoor Safety
Certain Sound Waves events are held within Indiana Dunes National Park under an applicable Commercial Use Authorization.
Participants agree to:
Follow National Park Service rules and regulations.
Respect natural habitats, wildlife, and other visitors.
Leave no trace and remove all personal belongings and waste.
Avoid candles, open flames, burning materials, or other prohibited items.
Follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the facilitator.
Respect public access and understand that event locations are not private or exclusively reserved unless specifically authorized.
A valid National Park entrance pass or payment of the applicable entrance fee may be required and is not included in the event ticket unless expressly stated.
Karla Michelle LLC does not control park access, public visitors, weather, or environmental conditions.
Additional park-specific waivers or participation terms may apply.
17. Liability Release & Limitation of Liability
Participation involves potential risks, including those described in these Terms and any separate participation agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants agree to release Karla Michelle LLC, its owners, facilitators, employees, and authorized representatives from claims arising from the ordinary inherent risks of voluntary participation.
This release is not intended to waive rights or claims that cannot lawfully be waived, including liability that applicable law prohibits from being excluded.
Where an event is conducted in partnership with a venue, landowner, or public agency, any additional liability releases required by that party will be presented separately when applicable.
Nothing in these Terms guarantees immunity from liability for negligent conduct or overrides any protections required by law.
18. Media, Photography & Participant Consent
Photos and videos may occasionally be captured during events for documentation or promotional purposes.
Participants will be informed when photography or filming is planned.
Participation in an event does not automatically constitute consent to being photographed, recorded, or featured in promotional materials.
Participants may opt out by notifying the facilitator before the experience begins.
Identifiable photographs, recordings, testimonials, or personal stories will not knowingly be used for promotional purposes without the appropriate consent.
Participants must obtain permission before photographing, filming, or recording other attendees.
Separate media-release consent may be requested where appropriate.
19. Virtual Sessions, Recordings & Digital Access
Some offerings may take place through Zoom or other virtual platforms.
Participants are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and environment for participation.
Virtual sessions may be recorded when disclosed in advance.
Where recordings are offered:
Participants will be informed of the recording arrangements.
Recording or distribution by participants without permission is prohibited.
Access to recordings is for authorized personal use only.
Participants must respect the privacy of other attendees.
Karla Michelle LLC will make reasonable efforts to provide access to purchased digital offerings but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of third-party platforms.
20. Intellectual Property & Educational Materials
All original content created by Karla Michelle LLC, including guided meditations, written materials, program frameworks, recordings, educational resources, worksheets, and other creative materials, remains the intellectual property of the Company unless otherwise stated.
Purchase of an offering grants participants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use provided materials for their intended personal purposes.
Participants may not reproduce, resell, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit proprietary materials without prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
21. Privacy & Personal Information
Karla Michelle LLC may collect personal information necessary for booking, communication, payment processing, participation screening, and delivery of purchased services.
This information may include contact details, booking history, and relevant intake information voluntarily submitted by participants.
We aim to handle personal information respectfully, limit access to those with a legitimate business need, and use reasonable safeguards.
Information may be shared with service providers as necessary to deliver services, process payments, or operate our business, subject to applicable privacy laws and policies.
We do not claim ownership of participants' personal experiences, private reflections, or health information.
Participants should review our separate Privacy Policy for additional details about information collection, use, retention, and available rights.
22. Right to Modify or Refuse Participation
Karla Michelle LLC reserves the right to decline, discontinue, or modify participation when reasonably necessary to:
Protect participant or group safety
Address a disclosed or observed contraindication
Respond to disruptive, threatening, or harmful behavior
Maintain the integrity of the experience
Comply with applicable laws, venue requirements, or safety regulations
Such decisions will be made in good faith and without unlawful discrimination.
Any applicable refund will be determined based on the circumstances, services delivered, specific purchase terms, and legal requirements.
23. Changes to Events, Facilitators & Offerings
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to schedules, locations, instructors, session activities, or program formats when necessary.
Participants will be notified of material changes as soon as reasonably possible.
If a material change substantially affects the purchased offering, reasonable alternatives or a refund for undelivered services may be provided as appropriate.
24. No Guarantee of Results
Every participant enters an experience with a unique personal history, nervous system, and set of circumstances.
Although our offerings are designed to support self-awareness, relaxation, personal exploration, and embodiment, no specific result or transformation is guaranteed.
Testimonials reflect individual experiences and should not be interpreted as promises of similar outcomes.
25. Force Majeure
Karla Michelle LLC is not responsible for delays or inability to perform services caused by events reasonably outside its control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, venue closures, or significant technical disruptions.
When such circumstances arise, we will communicate available rescheduling, credit, or refund options in accordance with the applicable offering-specific policy and law.
26. Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Participants and Karla Michelle LLC agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve concerns directly before pursuing formal legal action.
Nothing in this provision prevents participants from exercising rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be restricted.
27. Modifications & Severability
Karla Michelle LLC may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.
Updated terms will apply prospectively to new purchases and bookings. Material changes to an existing booking require any notice or consent required by applicable law or the purchase agreement.
If any provision is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
